Join us for this informative and powerful presentation from the
Survivor Empowerment Center of Carbondale, featuring a combination of spoken word poetry and an informative discussion about the history and services of the center.
The SEC, formerly the Women’s Center founded in 1972, serves eight counties in southern Illinois, assisting survivors through medical and legal advocacy, free and confidential counseling, and prevention education programs, as well as 24-hour crisis intervention.
The event is presented by the Herrin History Room and is free and open to the public.
