The back to school (or work) season can be busy and stressful. Time in nature under peacefully growing trees is an excellent remedy for that! Join docent Franklin Young for a lovely evening stroll in Mount Tamalpais State Park.Trail head: Mt Home
Time: 5PM-7:30PM
Route: Camp Eastwood Road to Troop 80 Trail to Sierra Trail to Camp Eastwood (restrooms & water) to Fern Creek Trail to bridge over Fern Creek; return via Fern Creek Trail and Camp Eastwood Road
Distance: about 4 miles (with about 500 feet elevation gain on return)
Additional information: Dress in layers and wear suitable footwear. Carry water. Headlamps are strongly recommended (estimated return time is before dark, but delays or cloudy weather could lead to it being dark at the end of the hike, especially under the trees). Snacks and trekking poles are recommended. Ticks and poison oak may be present along trails. Dogs other than service animals are not permitted on this hike.
