A Parent Conversation: Supporting Children in Today’s World
This new requirement reflects a growing awareness of the challenges children and teens are facing today. We invite parents to come together for an evening of conversation, learning, and encouragement.
Recent research continues to highlight these concerns. A Harvard Medical School study involving more than 1.8 million children found that pediatric visits involving anxiety increased by more than 250% over the past decade. Another national study found that more than half of teenagers use their phones between midnight and 4:00 a.m. on school nights, raising concerns about sleep, mental health, and overall well-being.
Join experienced counselors, educators, and parents who have navigated these challenges firsthand as we discuss:
• The challenges facing today’s children and teens
• Minnesota’s new substance use prevention requirements
• Prevention, mental health, technology, and healthy coping strategies
