Our thoughts
The unsettling thing about Wes Craven's classic is that you are not safe even in sleep. The film is as unnerving and scary now as it was in 1984. Great to see Johnny Depp in an early role, but the highlight is Freddy in his original form as a truly terrifying being before the franchise took him out of the shadows for later instalments.
