When Ella Remmings was asked to write a commentary piece for a concert series, she decided to take it a step further, and War of the Romantics was born. She wrote and directed this award winning production that tells the captivating story of a real life personal and political culture war between some of the most influential classic music composers of the 19th century. Her show premiered in Philadelphia in 2019 and was a hit before moving to New York City in 2023 for sold out performances.
Join us for an evening where Ella will share what she learned on her incredible journey filled with discoveries, traps, landmines and, ultimate triumphs. We are lucky to have Ella as a guest speaker. Ella Remmings is a Philadelphia-based author, playwright, director and founder of Music from Our Garden.
