From the same host that brought you nights of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, come celebrate the prolific American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, performed by some of the area's best musicians. The evening will feature a mix of Capital Region’s premier singers and musicians for a special tribute to one of the most celebrated and iconic duos of all time, with performances by Caity Gallagher, Chris Carey, Drank the Gold, Michael Gregg, Mike O’Donnell, Raya Malcolm, and more. Caity Gallagher is an indie folk singer songwriter based in Albany, NY. Blending rootsy compositions and lilting vocal lines, Gallagher’s honest optimism shines through her lyrics, allowing her storytelling to map the meandering paths of the human experience.

Chris Carey is a native of New York's Capital Region. A born musician, he grew up playing any instrument within reach (or turning any random object into one). He has spent the last two-plus decades in many different musical roles. These include session musician/sideman to several local greats including Super 400 and Sean Rowe, engineer and producer at his Millstone Studio in Saratoga Springs, solo artist/songwriter, educator at Troy Music Academy and co-frontman of local folk-rock favorites Rodeo Barons.
Dave Strumfeld is a Nashville-based musician, recording engineer, and performer with a Master’s in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase. After spending four years touring the U.S. with a band, he now blends music and comedy as part of the duo Panic at the Improv and serves as a musical director and improviser for several improv groups. Whether on stage or in the studio, Dave is always big bro to two amazing cats and one awesome Zan.
Drank The Gold… 2023 Folk/Traditional Artist of the Year at the NY Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards, Drank the Gold play and sing North Atlantic dance tunes and folk songs. Both steeped in music from an early age, they have been performing together since 2015. Their album, Sipped The Silver, simultaneously features Oona Grady's deep Irish fiddle roots; James Gascoyne's compositional talents; and their shared passion for digging deep into traditional music and finding something new to say.
Michael Gregg is a banjo player from Troy, New York. He is 32 years old, and of normal, if robust, height and weight. He is a founding member of Zan & The Winter Folk. He also plays with Hold on Honeys.
Mike O’Donnell With his roots firmly planted in the bedrock of the independent scene, Mike O’Donnell offers a guide to the sonic galaxy beyond his humble upstate New York beginnings. Mike has been a member of Saratoga’s own Rodeo Barons for over a decade and his recent project, Motorbike, has made quite a splash. Their 2019 release, “Victory Lap,” features a roster including Wreckless Eric and local native Chris Carey.

Raya Malcolm is a member of Hold On Honeys, a folk-influenced acoustic band based in Troy, NY offering tight knit harmonies to nourish the soul and invigorate the senses.
Zan Strumfeld leads Zan & The Winter Folk, an Americana/folk band from Troy, NY. The Winter Folk create anthems for the revivalists, lullabies for the lonely, and ballads for the hopeful. Vacillating between an acoustic quartet — two guitars, banjo and upright bass — and a rocking quintet with drums, The Winter Folk blend an upbeat, rootsy spirit with a melodic longing and vulnerability in their storytelling. Since forming in 2017, they have played at festivals, music halls and living rooms. With a captivating sound and comedic banter, The Winter Folk reveal a unique and intimate performance wherever they play. The band released their first full-length album, "New Morse Code," in June 2024.
