A Night of Promise 2025

Waterbury Promise’s signature A Night of Promise fall fundraiser returns on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mattatuck Museum in downtown Waterbury. This magical night will feature live music, delicious food, festive drinks thanks to Litchfield Distillery and fabulous raffle prizes. Meet our inspiring scholars, celebrate a MILESTONE year of growth and impact, help us honor the champions who have made it all possible and witness the power of community to transform lives and create a brighter future for talented and deserving Waterbury youth through higher education access, success and completion!

Event proceeds (tickets and sponsorships) will support our growing program that includes generous last-dollar college scholarships, the Scholar Emergency Fund and critical wrap-around support services to ensure talented Waterbury students get to college, thrive there, persist through graduation and are career ready to create a robust and diverse talent pipeline for the CT economy. We are already supporting more than 875 Waterbury Promise Scholars—the future leaders of our community—across 23 colleges and universities right here in Connecticut!

Former Waterbury Mayor Neil M. O’Leary, The Cigna Group Foundation, and the University of Connecticut will be honored with Keeper of the Promise awards as founding champions of the program whose collective vision has been realized now that we are serving four cohorts in college concurrently, have reached our goal of providing last-dollar scholarships of up to $5,000 per scholar for all four years of college, and will have our very first four-year graduates this May!
