A Night for the Books

Calling all trivia buffs, beer aficionados and book nerds!

Whether you love to devour a frothy pint, a juicy book, or want to use your trivia mastery for a good cause – we have the event for you. Get ready for an evening of brain-teasing fun and craft brews at ONE TO ONE Literacy’s A Night for the Books trivia fundraiser.

Join us at East Van Brewing on July 3 to put your knowledge to the test, and help us raise funds to support children's literacy programs across BC.

Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (Doors open at 6:00 PM)

Location: East Van Brewing, 1675 Venables St, Vancouver, BC

What to Expect

• Engaging trivia questions – including a special round to test your children’s literature knowledge.
• Exciting 50/50 raffle with a chance to win big
• Fabulous prizes for winning teams, including tickets to Bard on the Beach, Boom! Pro Wrestling, and the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
• Delicious drinks and snacks available for purchase from East Van Brewing

How You Can Get Involved:

• Gather a team of your friends, family, or coworkers for a night of friendly competition and community support. Don't worry if you come solo, we'll match you with a team!
• Spread the word by sharing this event with your network and on social media
• Participate in our 50/50 raffle and win amazing prizes while supporting a great cause
• Make a donation in support of our programs here.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased on Eventbrite. All proceeds will directly benefit our literacy programs, providing free tutoring services to elementary students who need a boost with reading.

About ONE TO ONE Literacy

ONE TO ONE Literacy is a grassroots Vancouver-based charitable organization with a big impact across BC. Our programs engage volunteer tutors to work individually with elementary school students who need extra reading practice – all at no cost to schools or families. We also offer workshops to parents of young children so they can better support reading at home.

Our unique program began in 1989 in one Vancouver school and has grown steadily since then. Last year alone, ONE TO ONE supported more than 1500 students in 130 schools and 15 communities.
