OK, we know we’re all cat lovers here. But raise your hand if you’re also a dog lover and/or bookworm! You won’t want to miss this special collab coming up from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Pageturners Bookstore in Indianola.
Iowa author Melinda Wichmann will be there with her new book, “Exercise Finished,” a cozy mystery set in the fascinating world of dog shows. But it turns out that she and her publisher, Hayseed Press, have a soft spot for cats, too. They’ve invited us to bring some of our sweetest adoptables for the festivities and will even donate a portion of all her books sales to Whiskers!
We think it’s the perfect way to spend the morning during the dog days of summer. Meet Melinda, check out Pageturners Bookstore’s new location, and grab some kitten snuggles and a signed copy of “Exercise Finished.” Maybe you’ll meet your new favorite author AND a furry best friend!
