In a world of high tempos, faced-paced living and instant gratification, the need for pockets of unhurried sound in relaxed environments has become a necessity.
A Love From Outer Kingsland aspires to pay homage to Sean Johnston and the late, great Andrew Weatherall. Their club night and mix series, A Love From Outer Space showcased their passion for the slower sound, slinging “slow building atmospherics and a sense of graceful, determined sleaze”, ALFOS has garnered a cult following around the world.
In the heart of bustling Kingsland is an oasis of shady greenery tucked neatly into an unassuming corner of New North Road. Providing a variety of delicious refreshments and an atmosphere of relaxed contentment to accompany your journey into sound, this is the place to be on 16 March. Join us for a Sunday session that will allow you to cast off the hurriedness of city life and slink into a leisurely afternoon of sonic beatitude in one of Auckland’s best kept secrets. We’re here to wind you down, not up.
COMMUNICATE is the brain child of Tāmaki Makaurau based DJs Cyril Orson and Heylady. Since banding together in 2022 they have played across Aotearoa at some of NZ’s biggest festivals and club nights. With the launch of their label, XCOMMUNICATE, on the very near horizon and multiple releases incoming, the pair are firmly stamping their mark on NZ’s underground scene. They have quickly garnered a reputation as one of the acts to follow, with their combined passion and experience they bring an energy to the floor that is hypnotising, all-encompassing and unmistakable.
Cookie and Geo are a booji fruit salad in human form. Weaving together a bouncy mix of down tempo and mid tempo grooves, they take listeners on a flavourful journey of spicy sonics and delicious selects. Their sets are a pure journey of improvisation - no pre packaged playlists here. Geo adds an extra layer of magic, accompanying the mix with live flute and FX, blending organic melodies into the groove.
Ranz finds her happiness in sharing her musical experiences with others and thrives on connecting and forming unforgettable bonds with epic individuals who share her love of music.
Inspired by the talents of multi-genre artists, Ranz has forged a unique sonic identity. Her signature sound blends Middle Eastern influences, deep melodic tunes, and groovy basslines, creating an enchanting journey of pure joy and expressive emotions.
