Join PsyT, Texans for Greater Mental Health, and Guest DJ Zach Leary for a special collaboration – an intimate happy hour celebrating the enduring spirit and influence of Bob Weir and the Grateful Dead at Austin’s Hi-Fi vinyl sanctuary, Equipment Room.
Zach will guide the evening with Dead-adjacent tracks, deep cuts, and exploratory jams, weaving stories of music, consciousness, and cultural evolution throughout the set. The event will bring Austin’s psychedelic community together around the music and culture that continues to inspire connection and curiosity.
This intimate gathering is capped at 50 guests and designed to spark connection, conversation, and community. Profits directly support both organizations and their shared mission. Grab a drink, settle into the room, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet new ones.

About our Hosts:
Zach Leary is a writer, speaker, and cultural commentator focused on psychedelic history, consciousness exploration, and harm reduction. Raised within the countercultural movement, he brings firsthand perspective to discussions about expanded states, personal freedom, and responsible integration. His work bridges past and present, advocating informed, ethical approaches to psychedelic awareness. His most recent book, Your Extraordinary Mind: Psychedelics in the 21st Century and How to Use Them, was published in 2025.
Texans for Greater Mental Health - Texans for Greater Mental Health (T4GMH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Austin focused on expanding access to evidence-based mental health care by advancing research, education, and public policy around psychedelic-assisted therapies. The organization champions science-led approaches to improve mental health outcomes — advocating for innovative treatments, shaping policy reform, and educating both policymakers and the public about the potential of these therapies. T4GMH has played a key role in landmark legislative efforts in Texas, including supporting the state’s pioneering psychedelic research initiatives and fostering broader understanding of therapeutic options for conditions like PTSD and addiction.
Psychedelic Society of Texas (PsyT - pronounced “sight”) is a volunteer-led community dedicated to education, connection, and open dialogue around psychedelics. Through in-person and online events — including talks, panels, storytelling gatherings, and social meetups — PsyT creates inclusive spaces to explore science, personal experience, integration, and harm reduction. Rooted in curiosity and community, PsyT supports thoughtful, responsible conversation about the evolving psychedelic landscape.
