Roxy Music recorded their first album in early 1972, Brian Ferry joined by Andy Mackay (saxophone/oboe), Phil Manzanera (guitar), Paul Thompson (drums) and Brian Eno (synthesizer).
The band pioneered a musically sophisticated glam rock, significantly influencing early English punk music, and provided a model for many new wave acts while innovating elements of electronic composition. They conveyed their distinctive brand of visual and musical sophistication with their focus on glamorous fashions throughout.
Their singles draw on the Art school background of Ferry, from Roxy Music in 1972 until Avalon in 1982, this is one of the bands that have shaped British Art Rock and Pop music.
Featuring Glen Richardson, Charlotte Glasson, Stephen Wrigley and Adrian Marshall.
