About this Event

Join the Farm Alliance of Baltimore at Junipers Garden for a late summer farm tour and talk followed by dinner and libations!

What to expect:
We will tour through the lush fields of Junipers Garden, learn about growing and processing medicinal plants, and tour Earthbound Building's shop.

After the tour, we'll gather for a dinner featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. You'll savor a farm-to-table meal cooked in the woodfire oven prepared by talented chefs Blain Snipstal, Denzel Mitchell, and Spike Gjerde. Our good friend Gardner Douglass will be shucking fresh oysters. There will be vegetarian & vegan options available. BYOB.

Transportation:
The Farm Alliance of Baltimore is providing a complementary bus for those who'd like to join. The bus will leave from the Farm Alliance office’s at 2801 Sisson Street Baltimore, MD 21211, promptly at 12:30pm. You may leave vehicles in our parking lot or on the street nearby. The bus will depart from Junipers Garden at 6pm and should return to Baltimore around 7:30pm. You are also welcome to drive separately or organize your own transportation to and from the event! There is also a ticket option for joining the farm tour only.

About the Farm:
Junipers Garden is a small-scale family farm that grows medicinal and culinary herbs, veggies, and heritage crops like cotton and indigo. The farm specializes in agro-tourism and hosts a wide range of events, including herbalism and natural building workshops, field trips, and curated cultural events. The farm is also the host site for Earthbound Building, a cooperatively owned natural building company. Nestled in the forest near the Patuxent River, Junipers Garden is located on a nature preserve with beautiful trails that highlight the diversity of the region's ecosystem.
