About this Event
Join local death doulas for an in-person workshop on home vigils and home funerals, and how they can be part of caring for a loved one at the end of life.
In this two-hour session, you will gain invaluable insights into the art and practice of home deathcare, exploring both the practical and emotional aspects of this deeply personal experience.
Whether you're a caregiver, a family member, or simply interested in learning more about this important aspect of life, you will:
- Gain a greater understanding of traditional deathcare by learning the essentials of preparing for and managing care of the deceased at home.
- Participate in hands-on demonstrations and discussions on providing comfort and care while honouring your loved one.
- Learn how to tend to your loved one as both ritual and a meaningful goodbye, and how the practice of home deathcare can support the grieving process.
This workshop is designed to be both educational and supportive, creating an environment that welcomes questions and addresses concerns.
Please join us for this gentle exploration of home deathcare and equip yourself with the knowledge to navigate this profound journey with grace and confidence.
Note, a ticket is not required for entry. Please register so we can track guest count and send you reminders for this event and information about our future events.
