About this Event
In this virtual workshop, Denise puts on her Dr. Denise hat to offer an accessible discussion on some important things to consider in trying to decide whether a PhD program and institution are truly "trans-friendly" (or even LGBTQ-friendly). Denise! Denise! shares ways to see through the performative DEI fluff of most colleges and provides tips on what other "data" to college in your search for an institution that will affirm you as a trans visionary. We'll necessarily discuss the ways in which white supremacy, misogyny, ableism, and elitism (as well as cis- and heterosexism) are baked into most American post-secondary institutions.
