Celebrate Juneteenth with an evening of powerful voices and unforgettable performances at the Black Box Theater in the Lewisville Grand Theater on Thursday, June 18. This dynamic poetry slam, hosted by Lewisville's Poet Laureate James Mardis, will spotlight bold, original work honoring freedom, resilience, and community.
Poets may sign up beginning May 1 to participate. Part of the evening will feature open mic opportunities for additional voices to take the stage. Join us for a vibrant night of spoken word that inspires, challenges, and uplifts. The sign-up form will be added to the event page on May 1 at 10 a.m.
This event is part of the City of Lewisville’s Juneteenth: The Cookout that celebrates the heart of community.
