About this Event

The Project: A Journey Through East Meets West

Experience the elegance of Western lettering traditions. In this course, you’ll practice the same set of words used in the Chinese Calligraphy class (available to book separately), offering a unique cross-cultural perspective.

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute their finished work to a public exhibition in January 2026.

This Workshop: English Calligraphy

This workshop will run over 4 sessions on the following dates:

Wednesday 22nd October, 3-5pm

Wednesday 29th October, 3-5pm

Wednesday 5th November, 3-5pm

Wednesday 12th November, 3-5pm

Tickets are free, supported by the RBKC Arts Grant

Over the four sessions, you will receive personalised guidance and hands-on experience. It is important that participants attend all four sessions, so please only book a space if you are able to commit to the dates and times above.

Enrolling in both the English and Chinese Calligraphy classes offers the most complete experience of our East Meets West series, giving you the chance to explore parallel scripts and create a unique dual-language piece for exhibition.

Please see the Eventbrite page for the Chinese Calligraphy sessions here:
