To see Sybil Gage performing in a jazz club where the music is king is an experience not to be missed. Often called “Queen of the Night,” Sybil was born and developed her unique style in New Orleans. When she takes the mic, there’s no doubt NOLA is calling. She has toured nationally and became well known on the New York City jazz club scene before settling in Florida. Every Sybil Gage performance is new and dynamic. Sybil is a songwriter, singer, and bandleader and appears with a classic jazz quintet featuring Don Alexander on piano, bassist Larry Nader, Bill Boyd on horns, and drummer Bryan Gardenour. Her song list runs deep, offering a mix of classic jazz favorites and jazzy blues sprinkled with her originals. New Spirit Café features table seating and a jazz club atmosphere that takes patrons into a different dimension. Sybil and her “Royal Catahoulas” have appeared on PBS’s Sunshine Blues, at the Blue Bamboo Art Center in Winter Park, and headline regularly at Heidi’s Jazz Club in Cocoa Beach.
