A Heros Journey Through Anime with Aree Witoelar // Free Rain Improv Fest
Turn your quirky hobby into a Japanese anime series! Students get to learn valuable improv tools from anime: dynamic group work, character development, narrative broken into little bites, fun over-the-top reactions and dramatic action sequences. Then, we’ll create a show! Let’s improvise a story as our little hero learns poker/frisbee/Jenga, facing one baddie to the next to become a champion, and learning hard life lessons along the way. No Japanese anime knowledge required! But it can be a bonus.
This workshop has an attached showcase performance, where you can showcase what you learned during the day. The workshop runs from 11:00 to 16:00, and the showcase will take place during the first show on Saturday.
