This year marks the 18th Henry Farnam evening since 2004. Join us as we hoist a toast to Henry Farnam, and explore some aspect of the Mississippi River, our region, local industry, and how our local area affected the nation.
Save the date for March 26, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Rogalski Center in Davenport, IA.

- Intro, Acknowledgements & Toast by George Eaton
- The Development of Water Power in the QCA 1820-1862 - Patrick Allie
Patrick is the Director of the Rock Island Arsenal Museum. He will talk on the development of water power in the area that helped convince Deere to set up operations in Moline.
- A Grand Detour - Dedicated Poem, read by Dale G. Haake, former QCA poet laureate, retired attorney, and public service advocate.
- John Deere and the Development of American Agriculture - Neil Dahlstrom
Neil has worked at John Deere for over 20 years where he is now serving as the Heritage Marketing and Archives Manager. He has published three books, most recently, Tractor Wars: John Deere, Henry Ford, International Harvester, and the Birth of Modern Agriculture. He will talk on the four key eras of Deere development from the 1830s to the late 1990s.
