Join us on Saturday the 6th of July 2024 at Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground for our Free Event 'A Greener Goodbye', to find out more about Greener Goodbyes, in honour of plastic-free July. Throughout the day there will be refreshments & a free floral hearts workshop with the Floral Goat and Pembs Petals.
There will be walks around the meadow and a chance to chat and ask your questions about natural burial, eco-friendly funerals, eco-friendly flowers and support for planning ahead.
Sandy Bear, our local children’s bereavement charity, will also be joining us to share some information about the support they offer to children and families.
What we have planned for the day:
At 11.30am: Join us for a Talk with Karen about Sandy Bear. She will also be there to answer any questions you may have about this wonderful charity.
Floral Hearts Workshop - Running throughout the day:
Join Karen from The Floral Goat & Gill from Pembs Petals anytime between 11 & 3.30 to create your own Floral Willow Heart. This workshop will be taking place throughout the day for those to join as they wish. You can also ask our eco-floral experts all about locally grown, eco-friendly (& plastic-free) flowers & floral tributes.
At 12.30pm & 2.30pm - A Tour of the Meadow
Join Sarah for a walk around the meadow to find out more about natural burial, how the meadow works with nature and it's wildlife. Discover green funeral choices, including a sustainable reclaimed wood coffin by local coffin maker Ecological Coffins, a Beautiful Wool Urn by the Wollen Cwtch Company and a locally grown floral tribute.
Sarah will also be around the rest of the day to answer questions you may have about natural burial, green funerals & support for making your wishes known.
The meadow is dog-friendly, dogs on leads are more than welcome at this event. There will be water (and a few treats) for our furry visitors.
If you are interested in attending please register your interest on our Facebook Event or alternatively send Sarah an email to [email protected] or a message to 07780 764 715.
This is a free event, however, we know in the past people have asked to give donations. Any donations people may wish to give towards refreshments or their floral hearts will be donated to Sandy Bear Children's Bereavement Charity.
The event will be at Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground, Keeston, Bridge Lane, SA62 6EE and will be on from 11am to 4pm for people to join in as they wish.
