You've probably heard a yoga teacher say something like 'we are made up of the very same elements of the stars, the sun and the moon. That the same powers that affect the cosmos, also affect us because we are composed of those same elements.' That sounds really dreamy, but what does that actually mean? There is a tantric yogic philosophy that speaks to this idea called the Chakra System whose roots come from the east, but have since then been adapted in the west by New Age authors as somewhat of a prescription for the human experience.
Chakras are spinning wheels or discs that are located within our energy body (pranamaya kosha). In this workshop, we'll focus on the Solar Plexus Chakra, including an asana practice, kriya, and meditation.
The pathway to liberation all starts by looking within.
