EVERYbody Reads Books and Stuff, is extremely excited to share that on Saturday September 20, we will be hosting a fun and meaningful fundraiser for the non-profit, “A Place for Us,” a Lansing organization committed to helping LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones access housing, basic needs, resources, and services to resolve their housing crisis.
In coordination with the Lansing Lit weekend, EVERYbody Reads will donate 100% of all book sales from our robust “name your own price” book selection to A Place for Us.
Their vision is to establish an LGBTQ+ affirming shelter to house individuals and families when they experience a housing crisis. With the explicit intent and purpose to address the chronic nature of homelessness, we will cover the gap during housing instability with the ultimate goal of getting people housed permanently.
The organization will have a table and a representative at the store from 11AM – 6PM to share information and answer questions.
