A Free Press

Join us as we examine the historical framework for press protections in the United States, as well as research into how robust local journalism impacts civic life. Then, we'll talk with media and law professionals about what legal structures are needed to both maintain and regulate a free press – with a focus on Freedom of Information Act requests and libel law.
