A Four-Course Journey Through Germany & Austria

We are pleased to welcome back long-time friend of Piazza Discepoli, Spencer Tackett! Spencer will be hosting a German and Austrian wine dinner here at the shop on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 6-8 PM. Our dinner will feature a lineup of six wines from the Skurnik portfolio.

Join us at 6 PM for a sparkling welcome wine and mingling. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. Dinner will showcase exquisite course pairings from Chef Serenity.

You know Chef Serenity from the Piazza Discepoli kitchen. Her soups, prepared foods, appetizers, and other tasty little treasures are what make our grab-and-go selection so fantastic.

Every once in a while, she gets to step away from the shop counter and really flex her culinary skills. This is one of those evenings.

Join us for a special four-course wine dinner celebrating the wines of Germany and Austria. Chef Serenity will create a dinner menu specifically for the evening, giving you the opportunity to taste her talents beyond the prepared foods you know and love.

Each course will be paired with a carefully selected wine, creating an evening designed around the table, rather than simply a tasting.

We'll begin with Braunewell Riesling Brut before exploring two side-by-side comparisons from Schloss Gobelsburg, followed by two very different expressions of Riesling from Selbach-Oster. We'll close the evening with the beautifully expressive Merkelbach Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese 2021.

Guiding us through the wines will be Spencer from Skurnik Wines, a familiar face to many longtime Piazza customers. And we're delighted to welcome him back for an evening of tasting, conversation, and discovery.
