Food accounts for about 25% of global greenhouse gas emissions. (You read that correctly—25%.) But some foods are more harmful to the planet than others. What you choose to eat at every meal can help move you toward being part of the climate solution.
We welcome Dr. Jessica J. Schroeder to explore how food contributes to climate change, which foods are the biggest emitters, and what we should put on our plates instead.
Jessica has taught at Denver Seminary and thinks about theology’s intersection with beauty, delight, food, nutrition, stewardship, and ecology. In this presentation, she describes her food-first approach to climate action.
Please plan to stay for a reception with food, drinks, and conversations afterward.
This event is free and hosted in cooperation with New Energy Colorado as part of the co-sponsored Green Homes Tour Lecture series. The Tour is on the first Saturday of October: Oct 4 2025. Additional details can be found at newenergycolorado.org/home-tour
