A Discussion on Religious Bigotry in the Present Day

Following our discussion, we invite you to join us for a free concert of beautiful music ifrom 7:00-8:00 p.m. in Sapinsley Hall on the RIC campus. At the concert, the RIC Chorus, along with student and faculty instrumentalists will present To Bigotry No Sanction with soloists, Cantor Judy Seplowin of Temple Beth El, Providence (co-sponsor of this performance), soprano Lori Phillips, mezzo-soprano Mary Phillips, tenor Brad Logan, and bass Matthew Quinn. In addition to the featured work, the program will include performances by Dr. Judith Stillman, Chamber Singers and Tenor/Bass Chorus. Other selections on the program include Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei, Aaron Copland’s The Promise of Living from his opera, The Tender Land, David Conte’s setting of the Langston Hughes poem, I Dream a World, Gwyneth Walker’s The Road to Freedom, music of Salamon Rossi, and more. Admission is free and open to the public.
