Join us for a one-of-a-kind sensory experience, Dining in the Dark with PCB (Peninsula Council of the Blind), hosted at MOD Pizza in Silverdale! 🍕
This unique event invites you to experience your meal in a whole new way by temporarily setting aside sight and relying on your other senses—taste, smell, touch, and sound.
For those who wish to participate, disposable blindfolds will be available in the lobby, provided by our volunteers.
You can choose how you’d like to take part:
• Begin your experience right away by being guided (blindfolded if you choose) through ordering and getting settled at your table with volunteer support
• Or place your order first, then put on your blindfold when you’re ready to begin your Dining in the Dark experience
If you choose to dine blindfolded, volunteers will be nearby to offer assistance as needed while you enjoy your meal in a new and meaningful way.
This experience is designed to build awareness, empathy, and understanding of what daily life can be like for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, while also creating a fun and memorable dining experience.
Proceeds benefit PCB, supporting outreach, accessible community activities, and advocacy efforts that empower individuals with visual impairments throughout Kitsap County.
