As I set this up it is 10 years since the devastating earthquakes hit Nepal. I remember the moment I found out and my initial thought about what on earth we could do to help. Never did I think we would still be helping ten years on. But what a fabulous journey and I’ve met so many kind souls with huge hearts along the way. Instead of a coffee morning, this year I thought I would hold a yoga day. Since I love yoga so much!! And my dear friend and fellow teacher Kathy Field is joining me.
The plan is that the morning will be more asana based practices from us both (Kathy is a Dru trained teacher and I teach classical hatha), but we will both be very much connecting to the summer season and slow move into autumn. And it’ll be suitable for all bodies.
The afternoon session will be more to do with pranayama, meditation, relaxation and we may do a gentle chair based session.
In between the sessions we have a simple Nepali lunch. It’ll be vegan and gluten free but I’m afraid we can’t cater for all dietary requirements. Lunch is included in the fee.
The fees are:
All day, with lunch £60
Morning or afternoon session with lunch are £35.
Apologies but no reduced rates as all profit is going to the village we support in Nepal.
If you want to come please message me. I will be emailing all those who express an interest in early July as we will ask for monies up front and we are limiting numbers.
We are both so excited about this day. There will be a raffle as well. If you are able to donate anything for a prize that would be so welcome. Special items I will try to auction to maximise what we raise!
