A Day of Service in Honor of Pauli Murray

In honor of the Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray's Feast Day, the Church of the Holy Nativity and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of the Diocese of Maryland will be hosting "Making Room for Justice: A Day of Service" on Saturday, August 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This day of service is both a tribute to Pauli Murray's extraordinary legacy and a tangible expression of the values she lived so faithfully. Together, we will prepare the future home of the Holy Nativity Pauli Murray Episcopal Early Learning Center, a ministry that will continue her commitment to justice, education, equity, and opportunity for future generations.

Throughout the day, volunteers will help clear and organize the building in preparation for the renovations that will transform the space into a vibrant early childhood learning center. It is meaningful work that reflects Pauli Murray's belief that justice is not simply something we advocate for—it is something we build together.
