A Day of Healing with Karson Koshin
About this Event
This Retreat
Karson will teach this retreat in person in Sacramento.
Healing begins when we create enough space to be present with our experience. Present without immediately turning away, becoming overwhelmed, or trying to fix ourselves. During this day of healing, we will feel the support of the earth beneath us, listen closely, move gently, and explore different ways of becoming fully present as embodied beings in the world.
This will not be a typical daylong meditation retreat. Rather than spending the entire day sitting still, we will explore a range of embodied practices that can help us slow down, come into our senses, and reconnect with our natural capacity for awareness, compassion, and healing. The day will include mindfulness meditation, heart-centered practices, gentle yoga and movement, meditation in different postures, time outdoors connecting with nature, and contemplative practices involving sound.
This retreat is open to everyone. No previous experience with meditation or yoga is necessary.
- This retreat will include gentle yoga and movement, so please be sure to wear comfortable clothes; you may want to bring a hat for comfort walking outdoors.
- Please bring a water bottle and your lunch; lunch will be held in noble silence.
