Battenkill Conservancy presents "A Day in the Life of the Hudson (& the Batten K*ll) as part of its Annual Meeting & Speaker Series on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwich Free Library in Greenwich, NY. Presenters Doug Reed, watershed organizer working with the NYS DEC and Ashley Leemans, Natural Resources Technician for the Washington County Soil & Water, will share the stories and success of the NYS DEC program of hands-on environmental education where k-12 students collect scientific data from local waterways.
The objective is to organize students from throughout Southern Washington County to take part in the 24th Annual "Day in the Life". The Program will form part of Battenkill Conservancy's River Watch Water Quality Program and work to engage the community in data collection and water quality information.
The free event is open to all.
