A Day in Her Shoes is more than an event; it’s a movement.
Created by Lori Stone, A Day in Her Shoes is an interactive, engaging, regional, inspirational experience. The second annual event will be held on Friday, March 7th, 2025, one day before International Women’s Day.
The date is chosen with purpose and intent to inspire, encourage, and motivate women. For some, inspiration may mean a new career, for others it may mean exploring leadership, volunteering, or public office. The options are limitless.
Participants will be exposed to opportunities and careers that they may have never considered in the past. Talented and exceptional women from greater Southern California will gather for this day-long, immersive experience.
Participants will learn that each path requires a different pair of shoes. Finding the right fit takes exploration, curiosity, mentorship, hard work, motivation, and connections, and it can be very challenging. Knowing where to search, especially for young women, women changing careers, women re-entering the workforce, or women wanting leadership positions, can be difficult. Bringing our region’s female talent together with leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers is a winning formula.
The ticket price includes parking, admission, immersive experiences, food, beverages, inspiration, mentoring, motivation, encouragement, leadership, a program, and more!
Proceeds from the event fund Oak Grove Center’s education and career-related programs.
