A Curator's Talk with Louise Cutler
About this Event
Join curator, artist, and founder Louise Cutler for an engaging conversation exploring the vision, purpose, and impact of the Beauty of Blackness Fine Art Show.
Since its founding in 2020, the Beauty of Blackness Fine Art Show has provided a platform for Black and African American artists to share their work, stories, and perspectives with the Northern Colorado community. What began as a response to the lack of representation in a region with a small Black population has grown into a celebrated cultural event that brings together artists, collectors, educators, and community members through the power of art.
In this curator's talk, Louise Cutler will discuss the importance of representation in the arts, the role exhibitions play in shaping cultural understanding, and how creating space for diverse voices strengthens communities. She will share the inspiration behind the exhibition, reflect on its growth over the years, and explore why supporting Black artists and cultural expression remains as important as ever.
Whether you are an artist, collector, educator, student, or simply someone who appreciates the transformative power of art, this conversation offers an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the stories, vision, and community impact behind the Beauty of Blackness Fine Art Show.
Come be part of a meaningful discussion about art, identity, culture, and the power of being seen.
Free and open to the public.
