Rowan Williams was Archbishop of Canterbury and earlier Archbishop of Wales, before becoming Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge (2013-2020).A Fellow of the British Academy, poet, and translator, he has published widely on theology, history, and politics, and holds numerous honorary doctorates.
