A Conversation with S.A. Cosby

Bookmarks is excited to welcome S. A. Cosby to Winston-Salem in celebration of his latest book, Truth to Power: A Luke Cage Marvel Crime Novel. The bestselling author of All the Sinners Bleed and Razorblade Tears brings his Southern gothic noir style to the world of Marvel Crime in this latest thriller.

S. A. Cosby will be in conversation with Kennedy Cole, author of the forthcoming novel There Used To Be People Here (releasing 11/4). After the talk, attendees can stay for the book signing line to get books signed and personalized. Additional books will be available for purchase at the event.

Tickets are $34 (plus taxes & fees) and include admission and a copy of Truth to Power. One General Admission ticket grants admission for one person.

S. A. Cosby is an Anthony Award-winning writer from Southeastern Virginia. He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers All the Sinners Bleed and Razorblade Tears, and Blacktop Wasteland, which won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, was a New York Times Notable Book, and was named a best book of the year by NPR, The Guardian, and Library Journal, among others. When not writing, he is an avid hiker and chess player.

Kennedy Cole is a speculative author with a BFA in Creative Writing and a Certificate in Publishing. Born in North Carolina, she lives by the beach with her partner and enjoys playing games, puzzling, sipping matcha, and collecting tattoos. Her creative portfolio includes an array of published fiction, poetry, and nonfiction with Oakland Arts Review, Carolina Muse, Second Story Journal, and others. There Used to Be People Here is her first novel.

Reynolds Place Theatre is located inside the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts. This theatre seats approximately 225 audience members in the traditional tiered theatre-style seating, with overflow space in the balcony.

Parking is located in a paved surface lot across the street; the parking fee can be paid via kiosk on site or on the Pay-by-phone mobile app. Additional parking can be located street side (where indicated by signage) as well as the Bookmarks bookstore parking lot on Holly Ave.
