Presented by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, join local space historian, Joel Powell, in Spark's Infinity Dome theatre for a commemoration of the Challenger accident.During this FREE* talk, Mr. Powell will share his experiences on that terrible day at the space center in January 1986 and describe NASA’s lengthy accident investigation.
The presentation will also examine NASA’s recovery from the accident that culminated in the successful “Return to Flight” mission in September 1988.
*This talk is FREE and does not require General Admission tickets to attend. Registration for the talk does not include access to the science centre. General Admission tickets are required if you’d like to explore before the talk.
