FLASHBACK WEDNESDAY!
Set in the 1940s, the story is based on the semi-autobiographical writings of humorist Jean Shepherd, who also narrates the film as an adult. Ralphie tries to convince his parents, his teacher, and a department store Santa that a Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range air rifle is the ultimate gift, despite the constant warning: "You'll shoot your eye out!"
