Christmas comes early this year at Carlisle Comic Con 2026!
American actor Scott Schwartz will be meeting and greeting fans, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, October 16, 17 & 18, 2026, inside the Carlisle Expo Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania!
Schwartz was featured in the Christmas comedy film A Christmas Story, portraying the boy “Flick” who got his tongue stuck to a frozen flagpole.
A Christmas Story is a 1983 Christmas comedy film directed by Bob Clark and based on the 1966 book In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd, with some elements from his 1971 book Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories and Other Disasters.
The story follows a young boy and his family's misadventures during Christmas time in 1940, and is the first installment in the Parker Family Saga.
The film was released by MGM/UA Entertainment Co. on November 18, 1983, and received positive reviews from numerous critics.
Schwartz also co-starred with legendary actors Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason in The Toy, a 1982 American comedy film directed by Richard Donner.
He starred as Richard "Dickie" Cessna, Jr. in the 1984 American comedy film Kidco, directed by Ronald F. Maxwell.
In 1985, Schwartz co-starred with Liza Minnelli, Corey Haim, and Jeffrey DeMunn, in the television film A Time to Live.
Since 2006, Schwartz has pursued his acting career and helped create a line of celebrity-based trading cards for Donruss.
He has also obtained celebrity autographs for companies such as: Upper Deck, Razor, Leaf, and In the Game.
In 2008, Schwartz wrote for the sports card magazine Beckett and was featured on the cover of the September 2008 issue of Sports Card Monthly, alongside Darren McFadden and Josh Hamilton.
In the wake of his former castmate Corey Haim's death in March 2010, Schwartz sold Haim's personal belongings on eBay at the behest of the Haim family.
He was also president of A Minor Consideration, a child actors' advocacy organization established in 1990 by actor Paul Petersen.
In 2022, Schwartz reprised his role as Flick in the A Christmas Story sequel: A Christmas Story Christmas (for Warner Bros. Pictures and HBO Max).
