The world’s favorite ghost story returns to the Purple Door Studio Theatre, downtown Lumberton when Purple Door Productions presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the Musical, sponsored by Lumbee River EMC. Adapted from Dickens’ novel by N.C. playwright, Lee Yopp, PDP creates a new tradition for Robeson County audiences with this classic tale of love, family, and redemption set to traditional period music and carols. The world-renowned book comes to vivid life with beautiful Victorian costumes, glorious Christmas songs, spectacular dance sequences, and an amazing Irish Step dance. A company of over 20 local performers and singers brings this new imagining of Dickens’ tale to vibrant life while remaining faithful to the original novel.
