The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come have been asked to accomplish the seemingly impossible: to teach bitter, stingy Ebenezer Scrooge the importance of benevolence and human connection. Nothing could be further from Scrooge’s mind, though — the man despises joyous festivities and spending any money — especially at Christmas. Donating to the poor? Not for him.
