About this Event
It is Christmas Eve, seven years since the death of Jacob Marley, the business partner and only friend of Ebenezer Scrooge. Tonight Scrooge will be visited by the ghost of Marley who comes to warn him that he will be visited by three further ghosts; The Ghost of Christmas Past, The Ghost of Christmas Present, and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Marley tells Scrooge that if he is to have any hope of redemption, he must go with the Spirits and learn the error of his ways...
This adapation will have the feel of a classic BBC Radio 4 full dramatised radio play. The cast of 15+ actors will perform multiple characters at microphones. Original music, lighting and sound, alongside a festive-dressed venue will give the true feeling of Christmas.
The play will begin at 8pm, doors open from 7:30pm. The play is approximately 1.5hrs with no interval.
Due to the nature of the piece, the adaptation of which is faithful to the book, this event is recommended for children over 12+years, and adults. Warnings: lighting blackouts, flashes, references to spirits, ghosts, death.
Tickets are £10, reservations having been made on Eventbrite. Please note that we unfortunately do not have capacity at the venue to sell tickets on the night.
Festive refreshments will be available, please note that this event is cash-only as we do not have card-reader facilities. Please let the Front of House team know if you have any allergies or intolerances (unfortunately we cannot guarantee that refreshments are severe allergy safe).
The cast and crew of this production have generously given their time to perform for your entertainment. We would like to thank The Unitarian Meeting House for allowing us to use their wonderful building as our setting for the play.
