Join us at the newly renovated Historic Grand Theater in downtown Steubenville, for an evening of Christmas cheer with Scythian and Ben-David Warner & Friends!
SCYTHIAN is a high-energy roots band known for their electrifying live shows and engaging spirit. Blending Appalachian and Celtic tunes with the Carpathian songs of their Ukrainian heritage, Scythian delivers them with blazing fiddle, thunderous rhythms, and crowd-singing anthems that beckons audiences onto their feet and into an 'Arena-Folk' musical experience. With a reputation for infectious energy and musicianship, these boys from the Shenandoah Valley bring a foot-stomping, heart-pounding experience that keeps festival audiences across the country coming back for more. Scythian released a Christmas album entitled "Christmas out at Sea", which they will perform LIVE for the first time ever at the Grand Theater!
BEN-DAVID WARNER is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter with roots in Celtic, Classical, and Folk music. He lives with one foot in the choral music world and one in the folk music world. A former member of Scythian, he is currently a choral conductor and church musician who continues to perform folk and original music solo and with friends.
