A Celebration of Toronto Cricket

Join Councillor Neethan Shan for a special community event at Rouge Valley Community Recreation Centre celebrating Toronto’s vibrant cricket culture and community spirit.
In partnership with the Scarborough Cricket Association, we will also be hosting a cricket demo in the gym where community members of all ages can come out to learn, play, and experience the sport of cricket.
This gathering brings together players, organizers, community leaders, and cricket enthusiasts from across Toronto to mark the beginning of another exciting season and to recognize the growing impact of cricket in our city.
The evening will also provide an opportunity to hear early updates on the City’s developing cricket strategy. As cricket continues to thrive across Toronto’s diverse communities, this moment invites us to reflect on its role in building connection, access, and opportunity.
Guests will hear brief remarks and a short presentation from key partners, followed by a workshop to connect and celebrate together.
