A Celebration of Sustainable Fashion

Sustainable Fashion Week is launching its brand new podcast series, with a consciously-couture event to celebrate on Saturday 28 September. From 2pm - 6pm at Lots Road Auctions, London. Style icons and advocates of all things sustainable fashion can expect a panel discussion with SFW x Louise Gookey, an eco-runway, a pop-up shopping experience coordinated by Spin Preloved as well as music and some delicious drinks including Karma Cola.

The panel discussion, hosted by SFW’s Amelia Twine and Louise Gookey, will be an introduction to the brand-new podcast series, and is titled "One Person's Treasure... The Value of Vintage and How it will Save Us".

The event will feature Tasha Nickson from Soil Association Certification and Nicole Akong, upcycling advocate and former contestant on The Great British Sewing Bee. These sustainable leaders will discuss the importance of vintage and pre-loved clothing, in a space that aims to educate, inspire and champion pre-loved fashion.

As well as providing the perfect opportunity to dive deeper into what sustainable fashion means and how to make simple but effective changes to everyday habits, Mia Brodie, Founder of Spin Preloved has curated a pop-up hub which will showcase a variety of pre-loved and ethically sourced gems ranging from designer and high street brands, through to local makers, creators and artisans. These fabulous pop-ups include @spin_preloved, @studioina_brand @twistedvintagejewellery, @houseofpandasdesign, @thehackneywardrobe, @emilylondon, @alegria.beads.creations, @the.preloved.edit, the Soil Association and Nick Bucker Art.

The runway show will be made up of key pieces from each pop-up vendor highlighting showstopping designs catering for a range of styles, sizes and budgets.

In true SFW spirit, the show features a truly-inclusive and diverse runway of models. The lineup includes TV personality Sabrina Grant, as well as industry influencers, friends, and colleagues. This diverse representation underscores SFW's core belief that sustainable and vintage fashion is for everyone.

The event will take place at the recently expanded Lots Road Auctions, one of the UK's largest single-space auction houses, spanning nearly 30,000 square feet. This iconic venue provides the perfect backdrop for celebrating sustainable fashion. Following the launch event, the weekend will culminate in a luxury auction featuring coveted designer handbags, fine jewellery, clothing, and accessories.
