We post this on what would be Doc’s 73rd birthday. Doc left us December 13 2024. Although he hadn’t played out and live for many years, Doc Wright left an indelible legacy as one of the pillars of the Windsor Blues scene along many others who built up the Windsor scene. Doc was a member of bands such as Cadillac Hooker, The Windsor Dukes, The Mustwangs and The DocTones.
This is an open jam of blues as Doc would’ve wanted. There will be a core band to kick off the event, and a revolving stage of open talent. So if you want to play and/or tell memorable stories to remember Doc, please bring your instrument. Backline of drums, 2 guitar amps, and a bass amp is provided as well as 3 mics. All provided generously by Long & McQuade. Food & drink specials too.
