A/BPU United Kingdom Powerlifting Games 2026
Dates: 21 and 22 November 2026
Promoters: British Powerlifting Union
Closing date: entries will close on the 1st October 2026
Venue: The FitXpo, CBS Coventry Arena, Judds Ln, Coventry CV6 6GE
Weigh in times: 10-11am and 4-5pm 24 hour weigh in ONLY. NO on the day weigh ins (you’re in the big league now!)
Start time: 10am (possibly 9am depending on numbers – this will be confirmed on the 2nd September)
Lifter Split:
Saturday 21st November: All ABPU men RAW and classic RAW (this is all weight and age classes) and the BOMB Squad.
Sunday 22nd November: All BPU RAW and classic RAW men, and all ABPU and BPU women. ALL full power equipped lifters - BPU and ABPU, all age and weight classes.
Remember - 1st place competitors in the UK Powerlifting Games in their class will recieve an invitation to the 2027 A/BPU Full Power and Single Lift British.
THIS IS INVITATION ONLY
The A/BPU United Kingdom Powerlifting Games is by qualification and invitation only. It is the first step toward one of the toughest competitions in the UK, the A/BPU British Full Power Championships, the 7 day British with anything up to 20 people in a class and all trying to qualifying in the top 3 for the WC and AWPC World Championships.
The Powerlifting Games allows competitors to qualify for this national level event which a little less daunting than the British, and compete on a professional stage, in front of 1000s of people and try to win their class for the chance to compete at the A/BPU Full Power British and Single Lifts British in 2027. Only the winner will take that invitation.
We run the competition on the basis that we have many competitors who are relatively new to powerlifting, coming back from injury or just missed the qualifying total for the British, so for many this is an important national level competition. Staff are all aware of the importance of the competition for our lifters and try to provide guidance, reassurance and help throughout whilst still maintaining the British standards and refereeing from truly experience competitive staff.
Qualifiers run from November 2025 through to September 2026 with the entries closing on the 1st October.
