Start Time Both Days: 10am
Weigh in times: YOU HAVE TO ATTEND ONE WEIGH-IN:
The day before your lifting: – 10am to 11am and 4pm to 5pm.
On the day of your lifting: Weigh in 8-8.30am.
What is the split?
Saturday: Men open and masters – all weight classes and divisions
Sunday: All teen men, all junior men and all women – all weight classes and divisions
Athlete limit: 30 per day
Ever popular Manchester Qualifier is back!
SILA will host the umpteenth sold out qualifier this October, and anyone interested should get their entries in as soon as possible. Once it’s full, it’s full. The intimate space of the competition gives a great atmosphere, but it also means we have to limit the entries to keep the space adequate!
This competition is hosted at the Strength therapy Gym, Manchester powerlifting and strength training hotbed and a labour of love of UK’s strongest masters powerlifter Andrzej Roszkowski. Him and his partner Alexandra Urbaniak cultivate an atmosphere of achievement and excellence at the gym, and this can be seen in the equipment. The bars, plates, monolifts and the benches are all state of the art.
The competition is limited to two flights of lifting, short and intense day to produce the best results possible for all competitors.
It is intense, but newcomers still seem to find their way to SILA every year.
It is not the most beginner friendly environment with medium fast pacing and intimate space, but they all seem to like it!
So, experienced lifters very welcome, and beginners, you will survive too!
