A Bookish Cheese Board at Leigh library

To celebrate National Cheese Day, we are joined by local cheese expert Claire Thomas who will be sharing a bookish cheese board for us all to try.

Inspired by cheese from famous books, Claire will be introducing five British cheeses and the books which inspired her choices.

As a cheese judge, Claire knows a thing or two about eating cheese, so she'll be talking about the people who make the cheese, and will also be sharing some tips about how best to enjoy it at home.

Ticket includes generous samples of each of the 5 cheeses to taste.

Claire Thomas, aka Cheese with Claire, aims to shine a light on high quality, artisan British cheese.

Cheese has a rich history in Britain, and Claire aims to make it enjoyable and accessible for more people - whilst having fun and eating of course!

Claire is very lucky to judge cheese at national and international competitions and has trained with the Academy of Cheese. So yes, she is in fact a qualified curd nerd!
