A BLUE BLACK BOY: Family Portrait Day in the Park
About this Event
A BLUE BLACK BOY:
Family Portrait Day in the Park
Before I head back to Chicago for another year at the School of the Art Institute, I wanted to spend an afternoon with the people and the place that made me.
Join me for a day of creating our own archive with family portraits photographed on film. Bring your parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, chosen family, or simply yourself.
If you can, wear all white. If not, come exactly as you are.
Too often our photographs are made for special occasions or after we've lost someone. This day is about honoring each other while we're here. Slowing down. Catching up. Laughing. Making memories. Creating the kinds of images our families will hold onto for generations.
We'll have music, refreshments, and fine art prints available throughout the day.
Donations supporting my return to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago are appreciated, but never expected. Your presence is the greatest gift.
Let's create archive, together.
